Boardmatch has officially launched its Partnership with the Irish Rugby Union Player’s Association. An initiative which sees some of Ireland’s leading rugby stars matched to Boards of charities across the country.

To date, Johnny Sexton has been matched to Headstrong, Leo Cullen to SIFE Ireland, Shane Jennings to the Ronald McDonald House and Eoin Reddan with the Irish Youth Foundation. The initiative serves a dual purpose. It gives players the opportunity to experience working-life off the field, and to call upon skills and resources which they would not ordinarily use. For the charity, it is not only about exposure. The new Board member brings with him fresh ideas, new skills and an enduring commitment to the organisation.

The official launch of the initiative took place last week and we received some good coverage in the press. Have a look here at an article which featured in the Irish Times.
